First and Second Class

So as a continuation from last post, I thought the first class we had was very interesting. I didn't really expect coming into this class that we would be designing a class for other students that would be taught in the fall, but I am excited to see how the finished product turns out! I was really impressed with all of the different programs we learned on our first day such as TypeWithMe and Wiki. I guess I knew there existed stuff out there like these programs, I just didn't know where they were or how to use them!

The Annotated Bibliographies were interesting to research. My group and I have Teens and Technology as our topic. It's amazing to see how young children are when they start using technology and the things that they are doing with it! One of the sources I found was extremely interesting for me because it dicussed using technology, specifically cell phones, in a mathematics high school classroom. Once I graduate, I want to teach high school Math so it was really interesting to read about the various ways I can integrate technology into my lessons without them being a distraction or a hindrance to learning!

I really enjoyed the class we had yesterday! It was so fun creating a survey for people to do! I think creating a poll along with the TypeWithMe, Wiki, and creating a Blog could be extremely helpful for my students when I'm a teacher. I'm not so very technically savvy and I think it's great that I'm learning how to use all of these programs in fun ways! So far since last night, my group has had 10 people answer our survey!
